It's all over!

WELL DONE children for being SUPERSTARS during our week in Kingswood.

Could you take 5 minutes out of your weekend to comment on this post, saying what you thought of your week and whether you would recommend it to next year's Year 6 children.

Perhaps you could also say a little THANK YOU to the fabulous adults (Mrs Marshall,  Mrs Hopkins, Mrs Rance, Mr Geeson and Miss Pelham) who looked after you so well.

Have a great weekend

God bless

Mr Parascandolo

Thank you very much to every adult who encouraged Abigail to take part in the activities, for being caring and kind and for looking after her all this week on this lovely adventure. It has been greatly appreciated. I would like to especially thank Mr Geeson, Abigails group leader. We were very happy to know that Abigail was in your group as she knows you very well from Church. It put our minds at ease. Thank you Mr Parascandolo for taking such beautiful photos and for including everyone in these. We really enjoyed the daily dairies too! I am sure a lot of time went into this. Thank you also to Tor who is also very Kind and who is a person who has done and still does so much for our children.
May God Bless you all and our dear children to have a safe a happy journey home.
    Best Wishes from Abigail Binoy’s

Jake is absolutely on Cloud 9 telling me all about the best week ever!! My favourite comment has to be ‘I learnt something mum, i prefer life without my phone’ 💙🙌🏼 love this so much!
He has had the time of his life with his friends and is talking about how he is now feeling excited to try new things when we go away in the Summer. Prior to this trip these things would have been a no go!
The confidence and enthusiasm is making me beam from ear to ear this evening! 💙
Thank you Mr Parascandolo for the amazing blog and photos and ensuring they were all safe and got the best out of this week. Thank you huge amounts to his wonderful ‘so much fun’ leader Mrs Rance who he said he had such a laugh with and all the other leaders for looking after them all and making the week so special!
Hope you all enjoy the first night home with a little more peace and quiet than the last week!
Thanks again! What an experience for them all! 💙

Wow, what a week! It was an absolute honour to be part of this experience with our Y6s - a privileged insight. Thank you Mr Parascandolo for this blog; it captures the fun and the essence of why this trip is so important, and so eagerly awaited by the children from Reception upwards! Izzy had an absolute blast - she enjoyed the independence (mostly!) and the challenging activities. She spent her first night at home going through the photos on this blog; reliving some amazing moments. Thank you everyone for making this trip so special, particularly Mr Parascandolo who is passionate about getting it all as perfect as humanly possible. Thanks also to Mr Geeson, Izzy’s leader - he made it so much fun for her and she said he was really encouraging! I can see why Mr Geeson volunteers to attend this trip year after year. Words can’t express enough thanks but on behalf of Izzy…a huge thank you, and thanks too for allowing me to share in the experience of this amazing and rewarding trip - it was truly humbling.

  8. A year ago Elena was suffering with anxiety and 100% sure she did not want to go on the school trip as she could not be apart from her family. With counselling and huge support from Mr Parascandolo, Mrs Dodworth and Mrs Marshall she began to consider it as a possibility.
When Elena found out Mrs Rance and Miss Pellham were going on the trip she thought she maybe able to go. I was still doubtful she would actually get on the coach.
Last Monday Elena used every ounce of willpower and determination to say a very tearful goodbye and get on the coach.
The first picture posted was a smiley Elena on the ferry and I don't think she stopped smiling throughout the trip. She had the most amazing time and has not stopped talking about it.
We cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done and for giving Elena such an amazing experience. She has come back more confident and independent and with so many wonderful memories
    Thank you again.

  15. Lucas was a bit apprehensive about going to the Isle of Wight and he had a few nights worrying about going.
The morning of the trip we all meet in the school hall all eager to see what group our child would be in. He was a little upset when he saw he wasn't in the same group as his best friend. But his best friend quickly reasurred lucas that they was going to sit together on the coach and that he had packed some games for the coach that they could play together.

I could see how well the children worked together in their groups, watching the videos you could see how they helped each other with the activities. The photos and blog was so reassuring to see what fun they were having and the big smiles on their faces. Even down to what food they were having for dinner was reassuring to know.

Lucas' younger sister was adamant she was not going to go when she is in year 6 but after seeing how lucas got on she is coming round to the idea now.

Thank you to each and every adult that went and cared for our children. Making sure they had sun cream on, ensuring they had a good meal and a making sure they had a good night sleep (10/10 on 3 nights apparently)

  17. Wow. It was the best trip I've ever been on and probably always will be. I can't believe it's all over. From the beach parties to just watching a West Ham match on Mr Geeson's phone was always a pleasure. I hope the Year 5 pupils enjoy the trip as much as we did.
